What’s On My Palette | Studio Log - Mar 30 - Apr 5
Here’s a little studio catch-up: What I’ve been creating, tweaking, and experimenting with...
This week was a good one! Full of Spring blooms and fresh projects now that I’m done with 75 Art.
Life has had so much sweetness lately that keeping up with my heART journal has become a weekly practice.

Spring has officially made its way into both the yard and my creative work this week. ☁️🫧🌸
Between violets, clovers, painted papers, heART journals and Easter magic, everything feels a little more playful and alive again.

Spring is definitely starting to sneak into the studio… 🌿
…and it deffo made its way into my illustration work this week! 💜
I also discovered the Oliver Jeffers x Caran d’Ache collab and immediately needed to try recreating my own version…

A little peek into the week. Bits of movement, cozy inspiration + filling the creative wells and whatever studio time I could catch in between. ✨
How I Make Analog Repeat Patterns with Paper Collage | What's On My Palette: Mar 15–21
Last week’s studio time started the way a lot of good things do for me lately… with a spark I didn’t overthink. ✨
I fell down a bit of a rabbit hole watching repeat pattern videos (as you do), and before I could talk myself out of it, I decided to just try it. I wanted to see if it was doable with paper collage since every one I’d seen was hand-drawn or painted.
I had no plan, no prep, just pulling from my (dwindling) painted paper stash and seeing what happened.
And if I’m honest… I don’t really love how it turned out…

Last week was Spring Break, and it was so fun having the kids home from school. There were many adventures and outings, and plenty of cozy home time, too!
By Friday, though, this magic-making mama was deffo heading into burnout zone, so we chilled out for the weekend, and after a much needed reset, I’m ready for a new week and a new set of goals for this season.
Not without some much deserved me time first, seeing as how it is my birthday week…. :)
What’s On My Palette | Studio Log - Mar 9-15
Earlier this week, I wasn’t sure how much studio time I’d actually get. We’ve all been either recovering from or falling into a sinus infection— so expectations were… LOW. But I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised (and honestly, a little proud) that I got anything creative done at all…
Weekly Glimmers | A Week In Pictures: Mar 9-15
For a recovery week, I’m honestly pretty pleased with how much creative time I still had the energy for. I even managed to make my Spring heART journal before the season slipped away — which is rare for me.
Scrapbooks and junk journals tend to do that… I let the moment pass and then suddenly feel the pressure to “catch up.” And if you’re a sentimental memory collector like me, you already know that catch-up never actually happens.
This week, though, rest was the priority.
What’s On My Palette | Studio Log - Mar 2 - 8
It was a busy week in the Hailey house, so studio time had to be strung together in small pockets of time.
Got a few more 75 Art drawings ticked off the list, and I even managed to spend a little time just making messes in my magazine collage scraps.
