Weekly Glimmers: Autumn Inspiration, Creative Practice + Little Joys

Right now, things are G O O D. The routines and rhythms are humming along as they should. This week was a lot of work, a lot of creativity, and a wee bit of mama magic as we gear up for a birthday this weekend [and a visit from my bestie of 30 years! I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am to get dressed up and go out with another adult… AT NIGHT!]

Here’s what I’ve been noticing lately:

✨Weekly Glimmers is a photo series about noticing small moments of creativity, nervous system safety, and meaning while healing, parenting, and building a sustainable creative life.

Golden ginkgo leaves glowing against a green leafy canopy and blue autumn sky.

AUTUMN IS HERE, even if Tennessee is still pretending it's summer. 😅 My girl, gingko, showin out!

A hand holding a small orange autumn leaf while walking along a paved path scattered with fallen leaves.

Leaf-hunting is a time-honored tradition in our family. 🍁🦊✨

A vivid orange wildflower blooming among green foliage and grasses in an autumn meadow.

The colors in the garden lately are simply 🔥🔥🔥

Tall grasses and dried seed heads glowing in golden afternoon light in a Tennessee meadow.

🌾

A golden sun rising over a quiet body of water, reflected in the still surface between tree-lined hills.

🌅

An iPad displaying painted paper collage artwork of persimmons, pomegranate, leaves, and other autumn fruits.

Pickup line = iPad work. ✨ I love the guaranteed time I get each day to work on the digital side of things, no matter what else the day holds. 15- 30 minutes each day can bring about m a s s i v e change if you just keep going!

Painted paper collage pieces on a cutting mat.

Getting close to done with the hand-building phase…

A collage worktable covered with painted paper pieces, citrus slices, squash, mushrooms, and color studies.

I can’t wait to start designing this collection soon! 🍂✨🍎

A color wheel trinket tray, colorful glass pieces, and a handwritten notebook resting on a studio worktable.

Arty mom things. 💗

An open illustrated art book showing a vibrant illustration of Rumi, held while sitting in a car.

Got The Art of K-Pop Demon Hunters book and it is SO YUM! Deffo grab a copy.

That 4pm light ✨

Two orange kittens playing beside a small pumpkin and a green polka-dot bag on a cozy chair.

My pumpkins, met a tiny pumpkin… 🐈🎃

I hope you’re loving the season you’re in as much as I am. See ya next week!

Xo,

Sarah
