Studio Log | Building a Fall Fruit Collage Collection

September is still sweltering here in East TN, but that hasn’t stopped us from getting after our favorite frisky fall fun!

I’ve always been a fall girly, but in our family, fall also comes with a whole lot of birthdays and other reasons to celebrate. Needless to say, motherhood is FULL this season, and I couldn’t be happier about it! It does mean, though, that I have to be a little more strategic and intentional with my working hours and goals.

Last week, I set out with four things on my studio to-do list:

  • make progress on building motifs

  • digitize them as they’re completed

  • publish two new blog posts

  • [if possible] finish up my Summer heART Journal before the fullness of fall arrives in full force! [I’m also eager to create a new, moodier palette for the next one anyway…]

The kids absolutely love flipping through the first heART Journal I ever made, which happens to be the Autumn/Halloween journal from last year. So, naturally, I’d love to have another one ready for them to dig into.

And guess what? I managed to tick off three out of four goals last week. YAY! 🎉

Playing with paper is my favorite way to tap in and just M A K E.

Building something beautiful piece by piece…

…takes planning + patience. ONE of those things I’m actually good at! The other I have to practice. 😉
