Plan With Me | Week of Apr 19 - 25
I’m so excited to finally share what’s been helping me stay organized lately!
Every Sunday, I sit down with my Weekly Creative Reset sheet and use it to get clear on what actually matters for the week ahead. Not just for life stuff, but specifically for my creative practice and my art business.
Because here’s the thing… I already had systems for everything else. The family calendar. Appointments. All the moving pieces of daily life.
But my creative work? That was living in my head.
Because let’s be honest… when your mind is bursting with ideas, it can sometimes start to feel less like inspiration and more like noise. And if you’ve got that extra little sprinkle of executive dysfunction (hi, same), suddenly it’s not just ideas… it’s overwhelm.
Too many tabs open. Too many plates in the air...
✨ Plan With Me is a series where I share a peek at how I organize my week as an illustrator, blogger, and small business owner. It’s part planning session, part creative diary, and part gentle accountability.
Each week, I sit down with my planner and map out what’s ahead — creative work, blog posts, and the routines of everyday life.
If you like this kind of cozy behind-the-scenes routine, you can browse all the entries in the Plan With Me archive here.
I needed a place to put it all.
At first, that looked like brain-dumping everything into a notebook…which helped! But I quickly realized I also needed to see my actual week. My schedule is flexible (but still very full), and without a clear weekly view, I’d forget what I meant to focus on each day.
I tried sketching out weekly layouts by hand… and immediately knew I wasn’t going to keep THAT shit up… lol So I made something I could just print fresh each week and return to over and over.
This Week’s Plan:
This week, I’m especially excited to get back into the studio and actually play again. After a busy launch week, [and somehow, no burnout… which feels like a win worth celebrating…] I’m easing back in with something that’s been stuck in my brain for weeks.
I keep seeing this analog repeat pattern trend everywhere, and I want to practice it using painted paper collage. But I’m going to try using my Cricut to see if I can speed up the process and make it more sustainable for my workflow. I’d love to make a bunch of bright fruit + veg patterns if it works.
