Brain Dump Printable + Weekly Reset Planner for Creatives
This week in the studio was a quiet kind of full. And not in a “look at everything I made” way, but in the kind of way where ONE THING asks for your full attention, and you set down everything else and just F O C U S.
I spent most of my studio time finishing up two printable planner designs that have been living in my head [and half-finished on my iPad] for a while now. They became the kind of projects that don’t feel complicated at first, but end up asking for a hundred tiny decisions before they’re just right.
Tweaking spacing.
Adjusting colors.
Printing, testing, reworking.
Reprintng, testing, reworking again.
Letting it sit. Coming back with fresh eyes.
Over and over again.
I really enjoy creating tools that are meant to be used. When I have that spark that says, I wish I had a better way to do this… or I wonder if I could just make something instead… I’ve learned to lean into that and try to make something that works for MY life. Not just looked at, but written on, lived with, folded into my everyday rhythm.
What I’ve Been Working On
These two printable planners came about from a place I know all too well… Having too many tabs open in my busy brain and needing somewhere to put them. If I don’t write something down, I forget every single thing I’m trying to remember… >_<
First up is a simple Brain Dump Sheet — no pressure to organize, no format you have to get right. Just a place to clear everything out so you can actually see what’s there.
The other is a Weekly Creative Reset designed to help bring a little more clarity to the projects + ideas you’re working on. It helps to gently shape the week ahead, while leaving space for future ideas.
Something flexible, not rigid or overwhelming. I didn’t want them to feel like another system to keep up with. I wanted them to feel like support.
Simple, clear, and useful.
A Flexible Planning System
I used to think planning “too much” meant that I was too much.
But over time — especially in early motherhood — I realized I didn’t need less structure.
I needed a different kind of support.
When everything felt full and unpredictable, I started relying on brain dumps and building a Notion. Just somewhere to catch ideas I couldn’t act on right away, but didn’t want to lose.
Because that was the hardest part: having creative thoughts… and no space to follow them when they came.
So they’d sit. Or disappear.
Rebuilding my planning system became less about organizing my time, and more about holding onto the things that mattered to me until I could return to them.
Now, planning feels… kinder than it used to.
Less about optimizing every hour.
More about creating space to notice what actually matters.
These printable planners are a reflection of that shift.
They’re not about doing more.
They’re about holding what’s already there with a little more clarity.
Tbh, these came together slowly, but they’ve already started to shift how I move through my days.
Just in the small moments — like when I actually remember something instead of losing it straight to the ether when someone shouts MOM! for the 450th time that day… ;) Or when I can actually see what’s on my mind.
That’s the kind of support I was hoping to create.
If you’ve been looking for a simple way to get organized, or a gentler approach to weekly planning, brain dumps, or creative routines, these might be a helpful place to start.
